As a Program Manager on ASU’s Principled Innovation Initiative, I am deeply committed to fostering inclusive, ethical approaches to learning technologies that empower faculty, staff, and students to thrive. Principled Innovation aligns with my personal and professional goals by providing a framework for reflective decision-making and collaborative growth, ensuring that innovation serves our diverse community.
With a background in global course design research, I have collaborated with international teaching and learning centers to design inclusive teaching practices and create awareness of bias that resonates across diverse cultural contexts. Together, we created personas and built empathy for student learning globally. These initiatives reflect my commitment to equipping higher education faculty and staff with the tools needed to navigate the complexities of global learning environments.
By integrating empathy, equity, and reflective practices into my work, I strive to build inclusive spaces where educators and learners can thrive. With the support of Principled Innovation, I have been energized to create communities for learning designers and faculty, providing them with space to reflect on the future of education with AI. Our focus has been enhancing their skills in effective use, encouraging collaboration with peers, and grounding their work in values-based assessment, decision-making and inclusive access. These efforts aim to foster a culture of Principled Innovation that drives equitable and transformative change in teaching and learning technologies.
