Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation, Principled Innovation

I was drawn to the ideas behind Principled Innovation long before it even had a name, because I’ve always seen the potential for real, meaningful change in education. I’ve never wanted to just reform educational systems—I’ve wanted to reimagine them, finding new ways to create positive, lasting impact.

In my role, I work with both internal and external partners to design tools and experiences that help others explore and practice Principled Innovation. I’m especially passionate about fostering character development in students, educators, and colleagues because I believe it’s at the heart of creating ethical, compassionate environments where people can thrive. PI aligns with my values, but it also challenges me to think more creatively and critically, which is something I love.

Relationships are incredibly important to me, both in my personal and professional life. Whether it’s with my family, colleagues, or partners, I believe that real impact happens when there’s trust and shared values. My hope is that through PI, I can inspire others to make thoughtful, principled decisions that leave a positive mark on their communities and the world.
