Jessica Wu
Program Manager
since 2024University Design Institute
Jessica was introduced to Principled Innovation in 2024 when she joined the University Design Institute in the role of Project Manager for the Design Accelerator. She currently belongs to the PI Program Manager Community of Practice and the THRIVE Collective. She appreciates these opportunities to grow Principled Innovation in her work and community while meeting others across the university who are committed to practicing PI values through their programs and in their everyday lives.
Having regularly volunteered at a soup kitchen in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, Jessica knew she wanted to make a larger difference in the community, beyond temporary solutions to serious issues. Soon, she set out across the country to pursue a Master’s degree in Public Service so she could begin building a career that supported positive transformation and impact through government policy.
While in school, Jessica’s passion for building a community of belonging, understanding, and purpose shone in her leadership roles in student government. At ASU, she continued to support students in various capacities and was committed to seeing them succeed in all aspects of their lives. In her current role managing the Design Accelerator, she is able to see transformation in higher education first-hand, by supporting leaders in the co-design of solutions to address system-level priorities and the changing needs of students and communities across the United States.
