Julia Davis is a Principled Innovation and Social Embeddedness Fellow in the Office of University Affairs at Arizona State University. Her Fellowship is focused on exploring innovative approaches for how to center character and values in how ASU connects with communities through mutually beneficial partnerships.
Previously, she served as Senior Program Manager for Project Cities, a signature program of the Sustainable Cities Network in Global Futures Laboratory. Project Cities is a university-community partnership that connects faculty and students with community partners to co-create sustainability solutions.
Julia holds a Master of Arts in Sustainability, Bachelor of Arts in Sustainability, Bachelor of Arts in Geography, and Certificate in Environmental Education from Arizona State University. While in graduate school her research was focused on exploring sustainability literacy through nature journaling in school gardens and she worked with the National Sustainability Teachers’ Academy to train K-12 educators in sustainability science and how to implement sustainability projects in their schools and communities. Prior to leading Project Cities, Julia served as Programs Director for the Arizona Sustainability Alliance, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in the Phoenix Metro Area. Julia served on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Association for Environmental Education from 2020-2024.
