Principled Innovation in HIDA hosts an ongoing series of lunch and learn workshops for staff and faculty. In these workshops, participants learn about Principled Innovation through the practice of the Atlas of Creative Tools® creative framework developed by Liz Lerman.
Small group answered questions such as: “Recall a time that you recently experienced or witnessed resilience in yourself or others?” and “Share a recent moment where you brought forward consideration of empathy or humility?” Participants come to the workshop with a project in mind and practice tools such as, Thinking Grids, Walk and Talk, Ask a Questions, Perpetual Prompt and more. These tools work to diverge from the current way of thinking, consider other perspectives and image alternative possibilities.
